Mohamed Ali Harrath is a lawyer by profession, practicing in England and Wales, and a renowned entrepreneur and with over 30 years’ experience leading businesses spanning multiple industries. 

Mohamed Ali founded the Islam Channel Network in 2004, the media group comprising Islam Channel, Islam Channel Urdu and Islam Channel Bangla, reaching millions of viewers around the world. 

Mohamed Ali has delivered several key and iconic events, including the Global Peace and Unity (GPU) Festival, the largest Muslim, interfaith and multicultural event of its kind in Europe attracting over 50,000 attendees and the Islam Channel Business Awards which provides a significant platform for recognizing the entrepreneurial accomplishments of British Muslims. 

Mohamed Ali’s academic background includes degrees in Philosophy and Theology, as well as Politics and Geography at the University of Westminster, Applied Linguistics at the University of London and English Law at The University of Law. 

Mohamed Ali is actively involved in charitable causes, playing a pivotal role in supporting leading UK charities through televised fundraising appeals and events which have raised close to £1 billion over the past 20 years. Mohamed Ali is the Founder and Trustee of The Dawah Project, a charity devoted to spreading Islam through the media, and Teebah Foundation, a global humanitarian NGO working to eliminate poverty. 

Mohamed Ali has served as a Member of the Panel of Independent Judges for The Association for International Broadcasting’s Awards, is a Member of the National Union of Journalists, a Member of the Law Society, and a Member of the British Institute of Directors.
