The Muslim Trade Forum (MTF) was honoured to host a distinguished reception on 1st May 2025 at the prestigious Raffles at the OWO, in honour of His Excellency Mr. Yousef Khalawi, Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Development (ICCD).

The event brought together a select group of leaders, professionals, and stakeholders from the Muslim business and trade community for an afternoon of dialogue, collaboration, and celebration. The reception opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcome address from MTF Chairman Sir Iqbal Sacranie OBE. The keynote address by H.E. Mr. Khalawi highlighted the evolving role of the ICCD in promoting sustainable economic growth and trade across the Muslim world.

The event concluded with the signing of a landmark agreement between the Muslim Trade Forum and Islamic Chamber Halal Services (ICHS), paving the way for deeper strategic cooperation in halal certification and trade facilitation.

Moderated by Deena Ataie, Steering Committee Member of MTF, the reception provided valuable networking opportunities and reinforced MTF’s ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships rooted in shared values and economic empowerment.
